Welcome to the new blog
Hi everyone, let us introduce ourselves. We are Kate Crossman and Suzanne Morris, Marketing Executives at Tourism Ireland who are dedicated to communicating the island of Ireland’s offering to the MICE sector in Great Britain.
We’d like to welcome you all to our new blog – the place where you can find out all the latest news, events and activities specific to meetings and conferences. We will be posting regular features and news items about the MICE sector.
We started the year with our Ireland showcase at Confex, and it was great to speak with so many people. With the economic crisis adding further pressure to our industry, we took time to find out the concerns of professional meeting planners and organisers, so that we could focus our attention on communicating how Ireland can respond to the important issues affecting you most.
One of the main responses from everyone was that you’d like to hear more from us across a variety of topics and formats. This blog is one of the initiatives in response to this request, and we look forward to keeping you all up to date over the coming months.
Look out for our monthly feature articles, as we hope they will spark interest and even create debate from you around the hot topics in our industry. As always, we’re keen to hear your feedback – the good, and the bad!
